Maddies Hair Cut

Maddie has been asking for us to get her hair cut short and i just couldn't do it, I have been growing it out because it is so pretty. Well she asked daddy and he was all for her getting it cut off. I said why don't we start little and work our way to short.....he said well maybe we will see. Well I was out all day at photo shoots (posting later about that) and came home to daddy cutting Maddie's hair off, I was in tears when I saw how much he was cutting off (7 1/2 inches) Ugh!! She looks really cute with her new cut, made her look older and I don't like that at all.

Fire Station

Kenzie had a field trip to the fire station and medical center last Friday and I was lucky to have the day off from watching the boys so I got to tag along with her and daddy!! We had to be at school at 8:30 and were going to WALK to the fire station and medical school(if you know where Henryville is you know the road we had to walk on with kindergartners, speed limit on this road is 45 mph and not much room to walk, I was one scared mommy).



We got to go in this classroom upstairs in the fire station and listen to the firefighters talk about safety and everything and then we watched a firefighter get all his gear on and then walk around and see all the kids.


Next we got to go see all the trucks, and even the BIG fire truck and they let the kids get in it and sit!


Now it was time to head to the medical center and CROSS the road again, thanks to all the dads that stopped the cars so we could cross!! We got to put this glow stuff on our hands and then wash them and then go look at them in a light to see if we cleaned them good! Next was on to x-ray to see a teddy bear get an x-ray and he had stuff in his belly!! I had a great time on the trip and was glad to go!!!

I don't even know where to start with this post or even if I'm going to be able to finish it without crying. I was at work when dad called my cell phone I didn't answer because I was helping a guest at the time and thought he needed something for Maddie, well he called right back and I still couldn't get to it and then he call me brother (we both worked at target) he was able to answer and Adam ran over to me and said we have to leave mom is not doing good at all. We went right to the manger and said we need to leave to be with our mom at the hospital. By the time we got there our family was there and mom's best friends were all there! I asked everyone to leave the room so my brother and dad and I could have some alone time with mom. I remember talking to her and telling her I love her very more and I asked her if she loved me and if she did to squeeze my hand and not only did she do that but she smiled and did the same to my brother and dads hands to! I remember her telling me one time that she was not ready to go because she would miss Maddie to much, but I told her she would be fine that she could be her guardian angel! Her breathing got bad and then I looked at grandma Day and she said we need to start praying and we did and at that time mom was taken to heaven. I was standing next to mom and just was kissing on her and telling her how much I loved her and to tell grandma and grandpa Cogswell (mom's mom and dad)hello for me and to have fun up there with them and I looked at her and she had the biggest smile on her face, I could tell her was a peace then.

The girls ask about you all the time and point up to heaven and know that you are watching down on them and are always with them!

I love you very much, you were not only my mom but my best friend! I love you mom!
