The Kahls Side of Easter

We had the Kahls side of Easter on the Saturday before and had it at the body to top it off. I'm not a big fan of having it there but that is not my call, I feel like someone is going to get hurt or run in the busy street. They had a lot of food and A LOT of eggs!!! The girls had a blast hunting eggs!

Can you see any eggs?!?!?

Spring Break Week

The girls and I had a laid back spring break, on Thursday they asked if I would take them to the zoo, Tracey had texted me to see if Kenzie could come over to place and I told her I could take Levi to zoo with us and so Levi got to come with us. I stopped and got them lunch and we ate before we got to the zoo and then we headed to the zoo for a fun day! We SAW every animal there that day and I thought that they would nap in the car on the way home but I was wrong they were still going strong and I was the one that needed a nap!! We got to meet up with other friends as well!!! Natalie met up with us and even ran into Deigo and his mom and they tagged along for the fun!!

All Over The Place

These pictures are off of my phone and just some of the stuff we have been doing from back in January all the way up till now!! Better late then never!!

In February Mitch and I got to go to Indy to see all the stuff they had going on for the super bowl! It was neat to get to be up the day before super bowl!

Maddie got a new bed made by her daddy!!

Maddie got her hair all cut off! She doesn't look little anymore which made me sad.

Turning 7

In just 5 short days my baby girl is going to be 7 years old......oh my! Where has time gone and I wish it would slow down! We love you very Maddie and glad god made you a part of our family!!!

Going Back to School

March 21st, 2012 was the girls 1st day back to their new school. Graceland was very nice to open their doors to us so that the kids could be back with the friends and finish the school year. Thank you so much Graceland!!! I was one nervous momma after hearing how the bus ride was going to work and how long they would be on the bus for! It was like the 1st day of school all over again! Our bus driver was very awesome and talked to me when she picked the girls up that morning and told me that the girls would be staying with her the whole bus ride to the hub up in Henryville and to their school!! She made my day a lot easier! They are liking being back with the teachers and friends!!!

Helping Henryville

My friend and I were talking and knew that we needed to go up and help out because that is our home too with our kids going to school there, so her work gave us cases of chips to take up to the workers and families up there and we asked the fire dependent what we could do to help and they had us making care packages for the families and handing them out to them when they came in for food or other stuff. It felt very good to help out and it was very sad to here their stories of what happened that day. The pictures on the tv and stuff didn't do it justice. We walked down to see the kids school and we both stood there and cried and was so thankful no one was hurt in there. My girls are stuff very uneasy about storms now and I think it will be like this for sometime now, so sad.

March 2nd, 2012

On Friday March 2nd, 2012 a tornado hit Henryville, IN. That is were the girls school is at. The weather men had been talking about the storm for about 2 days and when Friday came around they were showing the storm chasers that had come in and I knew then that is was not a storm to blow off and not worry about so I start to get our important stuff together to put in our safe place and then I called Mitch to see if I should get Maddie out of school early are ride it out and see if it would hit after she got off the bus, Kenzie was home sick that day so we watched the weather and school were dismissing early and canceling events and I never saw anything about our school. My neighbor called and said she was going to go pick up her son and asked me if I wanted her to get Madddie and I said PLEASE do!! She picked them up about an hour before the storm hit. My brother called and asked if I could meet him with the boys so that he could be at home with them so my neighbor said she would keep the girls so I didn't have to take everyone with me. She even took them over to the neighbors basement so that they were all safe. About the time my brother got home the storm was rolling in and we were watching the weather and they said a tornado was on the ground and heading right for Clark State Forestry and I knew that was so close to the girls school and about 5 miles from us, so I knew I need to rush back to be with the girls and about that time I was speeding down Perry Crossing Road I looked to my left and could see the tornado that was hitting Henryville. I was so glad to be with the girls and then I walked outside to look at the sky and we all saw a funnel cloud over our lake that we all live around.....very scary day and a very sad day. We then started watching the news and heard that the kids school was hit and it was gone and then it was just the high school and then they started showing pictures and it was all of the school. So sad and the girls were very sad and worried about their books and papers and even so of the friends that lived up there. We all were glued to the tv the rest of the night worried about our friends up there and the school!
